1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Impulse Branding Solutions ("IBS", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data when you visit impulsebranding.in or contact us through it. IBS is a Mumbai-based commercial branding, signage, and interior fit-out business.
We handle personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (the "SPDI Rules"). We have also drafted this policy to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), India's new data-protection law, which is being brought into force in phases.
By using this website or submitting an enquiry, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
2. The data we collect
Information you provide directly. When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, request a quotation, or contact us by email, telephone, or WhatsApp, we collect the details you choose to share — typically your name, organisation, email address, telephone number, and the contents of your message or project brief.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the website, our hosting and content-delivery provider records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view. This helps us keep the website secure and reliable.
Analytics and cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it. See Section 6.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as financial account details, passwords, or health data) through this website. Please do not include sensitive personal data in your enquiry.
3. How we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- respond to your enquiry and provide the information, quotation, or proposal you have requested;
- communicate with you about a prospective or ongoing project;
- maintain the security, integrity, and performance of our website;
- understand site usage through aggregated analytics; and
- comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We process your data on the basis of the consent you provide by submitting an enquiry, and our need to respond to and service your request. We do not use your data for automated decision-making, and we do not sell your personal data to any third party.
4. How we share your data
We share personal data only as necessary to operate our website and respond to you, and only with parties bound by appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations:
- Email delivery provider — to deliver enquiry notifications to our team and our reply to you.
- Website hosting and content-delivery provider — to serve and secure the website.
- Analytics provider (Google) — to measure aggregated website usage (see Section 6).
We may also disclose personal data where required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a government or regulatory authority, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
5. Cross-border data transfers
Some of our service providers — including our analytics and infrastructure providers — may store or process data on servers located outside India. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data continues to be protected in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable Indian law.
6. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use two categories:
- Essential cookies set by our hosting and content-delivery provider, which are necessary for the website to load securely and correctly. These do not require your consent.
- Analytics cookies set through Google Analytics 4, delivered via Google Tag Manager and operated by Google LLC. These help us understand aggregated, de-identified patterns of website use — for example, which pages are most visited. Google Analytics may collect data such as your IP address and device or usage information, and may transfer it outside India. You can review how Google handles this data in Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
Your choices. We ask for your consent before setting non-essential (analytics) cookies, through a consent banner on the website, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of Google's advertising cookies via Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the website function.
7. How long we keep your data
We retain enquiry and contact data only for as long as necessary to respond to and service your request, to maintain a record of our business communications, and to meet our legal obligations. When the data is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your data where it is no longer required;
- withdraw consent you have previously given; and
- raise a grievance about how your data has been handled.
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Grievance Officer using the details in Section 10. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.
9. How we protect your data
We follow reasonable security practices and procedures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. While no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, we work to protect your data using practices appropriate to its sensitivity.
10. Grievance Officer and contact
In accordance with the SPDI Rules, 2011, you may contact our Grievance Officer with any question, request, or complaint regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal data. We will acknowledge and address grievances within one month.
