What print branding and signage does IBS actually manufacture?

Design, fabrication, quality check and installation run through one team, so the company that quotes a job is the company that builds and fits it.
What is a glow sign board?
A glow sign board is an internally illuminated sign: a fabricated aluminium or MS box housing LED modules behind a translucent flex, acrylic or ACP face, so the brand mark reads at night as clearly as it does by day. Front-lit, backlit and edge-lit are the three common builds.
What are channel letters?
Channel letters are individually fabricated three-dimensional letters, each one its own lit or unlit enclosure rather than a panel with letters printed on it. Front-lit throws light forward, reverse or halo-lit throws it onto the wall behind, and open-face exposes the tube or module.
What is ACP cladding?
ACP cladding is aluminium composite panel fixed over a building facade or a sign structure: two thin aluminium skins bonded to a mineral or polyethylene core. It gives a flat, weather-stable surface that can be routed, folded and colour-matched to a brand palette.
What does IP65 mean on outdoor signage?
IP65 is the international ingress-protection rating meaning fully dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. It is the minimum specification IBS uses for LED modules, drivers and enclosures on any sign that sits outdoors in Indian monsoon conditions.

How a signage job is specified and signed off
The parts of a signage contract that decide whether it still looks right in year three. These are the checkpoints IBS works to on every job, and the ones worth writing into any vendor’s scope.
Before fabrication
- Site survey with measured drawings, not a scaled photograph
- Substrate check: is the wall or facade able to carry the load and the fixing
- Brand manual reconciliation, so Pantone references are agreed before print, not after
- A physical mock-up or a lit sample for any first-of-type sign in a rollout
- Electrical load and cable route confirmed with the site electrical contractor
- Permissions: municipal signage approval, mall or landlord fascia sign-off, airport passes where relevant
During fabrication
- Ingress protection to IP65 minimum for every outdoor LED module, driver and enclosure
- Powder-coated or anodised aluminium for exposed structure, not painted MS
- Driver brand stated on the BOQ, not left as "LED driver", because that is the part that fails first

Does IBS manufacture signage in-house or outsource it?
In-house. Fabrication, printing, laser cutting, powder coating and assembly all happen at the IBS facility in Mumbai. Installation is carried out by IBS crews. Nothing in the core signage scope is passed to a third-party factory, which is what makes a single warranty across build and fit possible.
What is the lead time for a sign board in Mumbai?
A standard single-location glow or LED sign board typically runs two to three weeks from approved artwork to installation, depending on size and whether a mock-up is required. Multi-city rollouts are scheduled in production batches, and the programme is agreed against your store-opening dates before work starts.
What warranty comes with IBS signage?
Workmanship is warranted for 12 to 24 months depending on the product and its exposure. LED modules and drivers carry the manufacturer warranty passed through directly, typically three to five years on brands such as Mean Well and Schneider. A warranty certificate is handed over with the closeout documentation.
Can you handle a signage rollout across multiple cities?
Yes. Multi-city rollouts are the case IBS is built for: one production run to one specification, then travelling installation crews. IBS has delivered IDFC Bank branch branding across India and HDFC Life branch signage.
What does IP65 mean and why does it matter for outdoor signage?
IP65 means fully dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. For a sign standing through an Indian monsoon, it is the difference between a five-year life and a first-season failure. IBS specifies IP65 as the minimum for outdoor LED modules, drivers and enclosures.
Do you supply signage for airports?
Yes. IBS holds BCAS (Bureau of Civil Aviation Security) clearance, which is required to work airside inside an active airport terminal. The company has executed wayfinding signage and terminal branding for an Adani Airports property, covering both airside and landside areas.
What is the difference between flex, acrylic and ACP for a sign face?
Flex is a printed translucent membrane, the lowest cost and easiest to replace, best for large lit faces. Acrylic gives a cleaner, more premium edge and holds colour longer, suited to reception and retail fascia. ACP is a rigid aluminium composite panel used where the sign is part of a facade rather than a box.
Which LED and driver brands does IBS use?
Nichia-class LED modules and Mean Well or Schneider drivers on outdoor and illuminated work. The brand is stated on the BOQ rather than written as a generic "LED driver" line, because the driver is the component that fails first and the one most commonly substituted downward on a competitive quote.
Can IBS match our existing brand colours exactly?
Yes. Pantone references are reconciled against your brand manual before anything is printed or painted, and proofing is done against a single approved physical swatch under controlled lighting. On a rollout, every batch is checked against that same swatch rather than against the previous batch.
Do you handle municipal permissions for outdoor signage?
IBS prepares the drawings and technical documentation that permissions require and coordinates with the authority, the mall management or the landlord as applicable. The application itself is normally made in the building owner or occupier’s name, so the process runs jointly rather than being handed over entirely.
What print volumes can IBS handle?
Offset runs on Komori and Heidelberg presses cover high-volume four-colour work such as catalogues, annual reports and packaging. Digital covers short runs, variable-data and same-day requirements. Wide-format runs on Roland and Mimaki machines for banners, hoardings and backlit faces.

What happens if a sign fails after installation?
You contact the named project lead on the job, not a general helpline. Because IBS built the sign, the original specification and the spare components are held against it, so a like-for-like replacement part is available rather than a nearest-match substitute from a different supplier.
Do you work outside India?
Yes. Alongside pan-India delivery, IBS can scope new retail assignments in the Gulf, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Cross-border projects are quoted with the logistics and installation approach stated explicitly, since freight and local access drive the difference in cost.
