Does IBS install ACP cladding, or only supply the material?
IBS is a service company, not a material supplier. We deliver ACP cladding under one contract, from site survey, design and BOQ preparation through material procurement, in-house fabrication, substructure execution, installation, snag rectification and handover. Supply-only or labour-only scopes are possible on request, but the full-stack delivery is our standard model.
Which ACP brands does IBS work with?
Alstone, Aludecor, Fundermax and other panel brands stocked in the Indian market. We do not push any single brand. The specific brand, thickness, coating grade, finish and fire rating is selected per your project's specification, and we procure to that spec.
Can IBS deliver projects outside Mumbai? What about smaller cities?
Yes. IBS delivers ACP cladding projects pan-India, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. The delivery timeline and execution standard does not change with geography. We operate at the same pace and quality whether the project is in Mumbai or in a Tier 2 city.
Does IBS prepare GFC drawings and handle structural design?
Yes. GFC drawings, facade elevations, panel set-out, substructure design, fixing schedules, detail sheets, are prepared in-house by IBS as part of standard project scope. Where the client's architect or structural consultant has prepared their own drawings, IBS works to those and supplements with shop drawings for fabrication and installation.
Can IBS work alongside our architect or PMC?
Yes: this is the standard mode of working on enterprise projects. IBS coordinates with the client's architect, interior designer or project management consultant throughout, drawings approval, site instructions, RA bills, snag walk-throughs. The vendor relationship sits with the client; IBS treats the architect or PMC as the delegated technical authority.
Can IBS execute work inside airport terminals?
Yes. IBS holds Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) clearance and is an approved vendor with Adani Airports, both qualifying our team to work inside airport terminals airside and landside. ACP cladding for airport lounges, retail concessions, F&B outlets within terminals, duty-free zones and ground-handling office buildings has been delivered under this clearance.
Which sectors has IBS delivered ACP cladding for?
BFSI (HSBC, HDFC ERGO, Godrej Finance), retail and showrooms (Reliance Retail, Aditya Birla Retail, Accessorize), aviation (Adani Airports), manufacturing and industrial (EPSON, Sagility), hospitality and F&B (Society Tea), healthcare and sanitaryware showrooms (Duravit), educational institutions, and government and public-sector buildings.
What substructure systems does IBS use? Why not subcontract this?
IBS uses galvanised iron box sections, mild steel sections or aluminium T-grid framing depending on facade engineering, the choice depends on facade height, wind loading, thermal expansion behaviour, panel weight and corrosion exposure. The substructure is built by IBS's own civil and engineering team, never subcontracted, because subcontracted substructure is where most cladding failures originate. Keeping the work in-house means accountability stays with us when anything needs to be revisited.
Can IBS handle curved facades or non-orthogonal geometry?
Yes. Curved facades, faceted surfaces, sloped column wraps, non-rectangular panel layouts and complex corner returns are all within scope. The fabrication tolerance and substructure detailing for non-orthogonal work is more demanding, and we plan it with appropriate extra time in the GFC drawings stage.
Does IBS install fire-rated ACP panels (FR / A2 grade)?
Yes. Where the project specification calls for fire-rated panels, FR grade per IS norms or A2 grade per EN 13501-1. IBS procures the specified material, executes installation to the manufacturer's fire-rating-preserving guidelines, and hands over the corresponding material certificates at sign-off. Fire-rated installations are more common on hospital, hotel, high-rise office and airport projects.
What jointing systems does IBS use?
Jointing approach is selected per design intent and exposure conditions. Common options include silicone-sealed joints, dry rubber gasket joints, mechanical clip systems, structural-glazing-style sealant joints and rivet-fixed flush joints. The choice is made during GFC drawing development with the architect, balancing aesthetic intent, weather sealing requirements and serviceability.
How does IBS handle thermal expansion and rainscreen detailing on tall facades?
Thermal expansion is accommodated in the substructure design and the joint spacing, both are calculated to the panel manufacturer's expansion coefficient and the local climate band. For rainscreen detailing on tall facades, we design the substructure cavity to allow drainage and pressure equalisation per NBC guidance and the panel manufacturer's recommendations.
Can IBS integrate signage and lighting into an ACP facade?
Yes: this is one of the reasons clients pick IBS over a pure-play cladding vendor. We fabricate panel sets that pre-incorporate signage fixings, wiring routes for halo-lit and channel letter signage, recesses for LED strip lighting and openings for raised lettering. Signage and ACP cladding are part of the same project rather than two vendors arguing on site.
Does IBS handle replacement or rework on existing ACP installations?
Yes. IBS undertakes replacement and rework on existing ACP cladding, whether the original work was executed by IBS or by another vendor. This is treated as a separate engagement (not under any prior warranty obligation), scoped against a site survey, and quoted commercially per the rework scope.
