BCAS clearance is a hard requirement for any contractor working inside terminal buildings — IBS is one of the few commercial fit-out companies that holds it.

Our project management system is built for compressed schedules. Night-work windows (typically 11pm–5am) are planned to the hour — all materials, tools, and personnel are pre-positioned before the window opens. Site supervisors manage the clock rigorously. Cleanup and restoration to passenger-ready condition is completed before the terminal reopens.

Yes. We design, fabricate, and install wayfinding signage systems — directional signs, gate indicators, facility maps, accessibility signage, and multi-language text panels — for airport passenger areas. Both airside and landside.

Yes. Duty-free retail fit-outs require premium finish standards to match the brand environment of international retailers. IBS delivers high-specification joinery, display systems, brand graphics, and MEP for duty-free, fashion, and luxury retail units inside airport terminals.

Airport fit-outs must comply with DGCA and BCAS safety requirements, NBC fire safety codes, and the airport authority's own design and construction guidelines. IBS obtains all required approvals and provides full compliance documentation before any installation begins.

Yes. Digital display panels, LED totems, and illuminated wayfinding signs are part of our airport signage scope. All digital installations are coordinated with the airport's central systems team for power, network routing, and content management integration.

IBS manages the AVSEC (Aviation Security) access pass application process for all site personnel. This includes document collection, background check facilitation, and pass renewal for long-duration projects. Personnel without valid passes do not enter the terminal.

A standard 200–400 sq ft retail unit fit-out inside a terminal takes 4–8 weeks from design approval to completion. This accounts for material procurement with lead times, multiple night-work windows, and the mandatory security clearance process. Timelines are confirmed at project kickoff.

Yes. Airline lounge fit-outs are a premium scope requiring hospitality-grade finishes, quiet zone partitioning, business centre provisions, bar and F&B infrastructure, and brand identity integration. IBS has the specification capability and BCAS clearance to execute airline lounge projects in active terminals.

Yes. Our BCAS clearance covers work at both AAI-operated and privately operated airports. Procurement at AAI airports typically follows a formal tender and L1 process — IBS is set up for both tender-based and direct-award contracts.

Yes. Accessible signage — large print, Braille, and tactile wayfinding systems — is part of our wayfinding scope. All accessibility signage is produced to RPwD Act and NBC accessibility standards, and to the airport authority's specific accessibility guidelines.

On completion, IBS provides: as-built drawings for all civil, MEP, and signage elements; material test certificates; fire safety compliance certificates; BCAS site clearance confirmation; and a handover report with photographic documentation of all completed work areas.

Minor structural modifications — partition removal, column casing, floor penetrations for MEP — are within our scope, subject to the airport authority's structural approval process. We engage licensed structural engineers where modifications require structural calculations.

Yes. QSR and F&B fit-outs inside airport terminals — including commercial kitchen construction, exhaust and ventilation systems, service counter fabrication, and brand graphics — are standard airport scope for IBS. We coordinate kitchen equipment vendors and MEP within the overall fit-out.

Material delivery to airport sites requires pre-approval from the airport authority. IBS coordinates all material delivery schedules — approved entry routes, checked manifests, and security screening compliance — as part of standard project logistics. No materials enter the terminal without the required approvals.

From contract execution to site mobilisation, allow 4–6 weeks minimum for BCAS clearance processing of new personnel, design approvals, and material procurement.
