Yes. Education fit-outs during vacation windows are a standard project type for IBS. We mobilise rapidly and structure our schedule to deliver complete classroom and campus fit-outs within the 6–10 week windows that academic calendars allow.

Classroom fit-outs, science and computer labs, library interiors, administrative office fit-outs, auditoriums, canteen and cafeteria fit-outs, and campus signage systems. All to NBC standards.

Yes. Campus signage systems — department identification boards, directional wayfinding, motivational wall graphics, entrance pylon signs, and accessibility signage — are produced in-house and installed as part of the campus project.

Yes. All education fit-outs are delivered to National Building Code requirements — fire egress, emergency lighting, ventilation standards, structural requirements, and disability access. Compliance documentation is provided with handover.

Yes. Campus branding — motivational wall murals, mission and values graphics, timeline walls, and branded corridors — are produced in our printing facility and installed by our team. Education clients increasingly invest in campus brand environments to communicate institutional identity.

Yes. Science and engineering labs require specialist infrastructure — fume hoods and exhaust ventilation for chemistry labs, anti-static flooring and UPS power for computer labs, high-load electrical circuits for equipment, and chemical-resistant workbench surfaces. IBS designs and builds lab environments to these requirements.

Yes. Auditorium fit-outs — tiered seating, acoustic wall and ceiling treatment, AV infrastructure (projector, screen, sound system provisions), stage and backstage fit-out, and emergency lighting — are within our scope. We work with AV system vendors for equipment, while handling all civil and MEP.

IBS sources and installs institutional-grade furniture — student desks and chairs, lecture hall seating, faculty workstations, and library shelving systems. Custom fabricated items (fixed lecture benches, custom lab workbenches) are made in-house. All furniture is selected for durability appropriate to heavy student use.

Yes. Smart classroom provisions — interactive whiteboard mounting, projector and screen, teacher console power, student table charging provisions, and PA system infrastructure — are included as part of our classroom fit-out scope. We coordinate with AV equipment vendors for system supply and commissioning.

Yes. Institutional canteen fit-outs — serving counter design, seating areas with durable furniture, commercial kitchen provisions, and ventilation — are standard scope for IBS in educational projects. We design the canteen layout for high-volume service during peak break periods.

Standard classroom fit-outs range from ₹800 to ₹1,500 per sq ft depending on the finish specification and installed services. Specialist labs (computer labs, science labs) range from ₹1,500 to ₹2,800 per sq ft due to additional infrastructure. IBS provides a detailed BOQ after a site visit.

Yes. Multi-storey academic block fit-outs are managed as phased projects — typically floor by floor — to allow the institution to continue operating in completed areas while work continues elsewhere. Project management, material coordination, and quality control across floors is handled by a dedicated IBS project manager.

Yes. Our design team provides 3D renders and walkthrough visualisations before any fabrication or construction begins. This allows the institution's management to see exactly what the finished space will look like and make design changes before execution is locked in.

Educational buildings are classified as institutional occupancy under NBC — they require fire-resistant corridors and stairwells, fire-rated doors at specified intervals, smoke detection and alarm systems, fire extinguisher niches, emergency lighting, and clearly marked emergency exit routes. IBS delivers all of these as part of the fit-out and provides fire NOC documentation.

Yes. Administrative and faculty office fit-outs — including reception areas, private cabins, open-plan work areas, meeting rooms, and faculty lounge areas — are standard scope alongside classroom and lab projects. We often execute the entire building fit-out under one contract.

Yes. Coaching centres and test-prep institutes have specific requirements — high-density classroom seating, multiple batch scheduling provisions, individual study cubicles, and a professional institutional brand environment. These are a distinct project type that IBS has delivered for education clients.

IBS designs education fit-outs to RPwD Act and NBC accessibility requirements — ramp access, accessible toilet facilities, tactile flooring at transitions, Braille signage for key areas, and door width and hardware standards for wheelchair users. Compliance documentation for the educational institution's regulatory requirements is provided at handover.

Yes. Sports hall fit-outs — synthetic flooring (wood, PVC sports surface), basketball court markings, wall padding, equipment storage, and ventilation for high-activity spaces — are within our scope. Gymnasium fit-outs with rubber flooring, mirror walls, and equipment anchor provisions are also standard.

Yes. Vocational and ITI fit-outs require heavy-duty workshop environments — industrial-grade electrical (3-phase provision for machine tools), durable concrete or epoxy flooring, ventilation for welding and grinding areas, tool storage, and safety signage. IBS is experienced in delivering workshop infrastructure that meets NCVT and AICTE inspection standards.

IBS assigns a dedicated project coordinator who liaises with the school's administration team throughout the project. Access routes, working hours, noise windows, and dust containment are agreed in the project kickoff meeting and strictly observed. All materials are stored in designated staging areas away from student zones. Weekly progress briefings keep the institution's management informed.
