IBS Achieves BCAS Clearance for Airport Fit-Out Work — What It Means for Aviation Clients
Impulse Branding Solutions has received BCAS (Bureau of Civil Aviation Security) clearance, qualifying us to execute fit-out, wayfinding signage, and branding projects inside airport terminals — including airside areas that are otherwise inaccessible to standard contractors.
What BCAS clearance means in practice
BCAS clearance is issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security under the Ministry of Civil Aviation. It certifies that a contractor and its personnel have undergone security vetting to a standard that permits unsupervised access to airport restricted areas — including airside zones beyond the security check.
For airport retail tenants, airline lounges, F&B operators, and airport operators themselves, working with a BCAS-cleared contractor significantly reduces the administrative burden. The client does not need to manage a separate security clearance process for each contractor mobilisation. Our entire mobilised team can access airside on our own clearance.
What IBS can now execute inside airport terminals
With BCAS clearance and our existing SITC capability, IBS can execute: wayfinding and directional signage programmes for airport operators; retail fit-out for tenants in both landside and airside commercial zones; F&B and lounge interiors; fascia, pylon, and departure hall branding; and in-terminal advertising and display installations.
We are already engaged with Adani Airports on wayfinding signage at multiple airports in the Adani network. Our BCAS clearance was a pre-condition of that engagement and remains a standing qualification for all airport work.
