Product Range

What flex and banner media does IBS print?

IBS prints the full flex and banner media range — the frontlit, backlit, mesh, and fabric grades that suit different exposures, structures, and campaign durations. Every grade is printed in-house on UV-stable inks and finished install-ready on our own line. Flex is the material-and-volume line: for building-wrap and billboard-scale graphics see wide-format printing; for the broader print hub see digital printing; for the structure see hoarding fabrication. Seven flex and banner categories follow — each a routine engagement across outdoor advertising, retail, events, real estate, and institutional campaigns.

Star-Frontlit Flex (Standard Outdoor Workhorse)

Star-frontlit flex is the standard, most cost-effective outdoor banner medium in India — coated flex (typically ~320 GSM / 13 oz class) printed with UV-resistant solvent inks and lit by external spotlights. The workhorse for outdoor hoardings, retail banners, event signage, and site boards, available in matte or gloss. IBS prints frontlit at volume with consistent ink density so a 200-banner campaign reads identically across every site.

  • Standard frontlit flex — coated flex for outdoor hoardings and banners
  • Matte & gloss finish — finish matched to lighting and viewing angle
  • UV-resistant solvent ink — colour held under outdoor exposure
  • High-volume runs — consistent ink density across large campaign batches
  • Standard & premium grades — quoted to the campaign duration

Backlit Flex (Illuminated Structures)

Backlit flex is heavier, double-coated media (typically ~450 GSM class) engineered for light to pass through evenly from behind — the medium for illuminated hoarding boxes, lightbox cabinets, and backlit signage faces. It produces a vibrant, even illumination that frontlit can't, and is printed with the ink density tuned for the lit result. IBS prints backlit flex for new illuminated structures and as replacement faces for existing lightbox cabinets.

  • Backlit hoarding faces — for illuminated hoarding boxes
  • Lightbox cabinet faces — even-illumination faces for lightboxes
  • Replacement backlit faces — re-facing existing lit structures
  • Density-tuned printing — ink density set for the backlit result
  • Vibrant even illumination — no hotspots or dark banding when lit

Mesh Flex / Perforated Mesh (Wind-Rated)

Mesh flex is wind-permeable banner material that lets air pass through — essential for building wraps, scaffolding banners, and any tall or wind-exposed installation where solid flex would catch wind load. IBS prints mesh for wraps and scaffold banners (cross-referenced with the wide-format line for full-elevation work), sized to the structure and finished with reinforced edges for outdoor durability over the installation period.

  • Scaffolding mesh banners — wind-permeable banners for scaffold-covered elevations
  • Building-wrap mesh — for tall and wind-exposed wraps
  • Reduced wind load — perforation lets air pass through
  • Reinforced-edge finishing — durability over the install period
  • Outdoor-grade ink — colour held through the campaign

Eco-Solvent Vinyl & Fine-Finish Prints

Eco-solvent printing on self-adhesive vinyl delivers a finer, more odour-free finish than standard solvent — suited to indoor displays, window graphics, and POS applications where print quality is seen up close. A bridge between the outdoor flex workhorse and the higher-finish surface graphics handled in detail on the vinyl and flex printing line.

  • Eco-solvent self-adhesive vinyl — finer finish for close-viewed work
  • Indoor display prints — low-odour, high-quality indoor graphics
  • Window & POS graphics — fine-finish retail surface prints
  • Matte, gloss & luster — finish matched to application
  • Laminated options — protective laminate for durability

Fabric & Tension-Frame Banners (Reusable)

Knitted-polyester fabric banners suit tension-frame and SEG (silicone edge graphics) systems — wrinkle-free, washable, and reusable, the premium reusable alternative to single-use flex for events, exhibitions, and indoor displays a brand redeploys. IBS prints fabric for tension systems and event use where reuse and finish matter more than the lowest per-banner cost.

  • SEG / tension-fabric prints — for silicone-edge frame systems
  • Reusable event banners — wrinkle-free, washable, redeployable
  • Indoor display fabric — premium-finish indoor graphics
  • Backdrop fabric — fabric backdrops for events and exhibitions
  • Wrinkle-free handling — packs and redeploys without creasing

Finishing — Eyelets, Hems, Pole Pockets & Welding

Flex banners are only install-ready once finished, and IBS finishes in-house — eyelets and grommets spaced for mounting and wind, reinforced hems and sewn edges, pole pockets and sleeves for banner stands and poles, and heat-welded seams for multi-panel banners. In-house finishing means a single standard and no third-party finishing queue between print and dispatch.

  • Eyelets & grommets — spaced for mounting and wind load
  • Sewn & reinforced hems — strengthened edges for outdoor durability
  • Pole pockets & sleeves — for banner-stand and pole mounting
  • Welded seams — clean heat-welded joins on multi-panel banners
  • Wind reinforcement — rope and bungee reinforcement for exposed sites

Bulk Campaign Runs & Pan-India Dispatch

Flex campaigns are usually high-volume and multi-site — hundreds of banners across a city or the country for an event, launch, or seasonal push. IBS runs flex presses at high throughput, produces colour- consistent batches against a single brand reference, sequences to the campaign schedule, and coordinates pan-India dispatch so every site gets its banners on time and on colour.

  • High-throughput production — hundreds of banners on schedule
  • Batch colour consistency — every banner in a campaign matches
  • Sequenced production — timed to the campaign and install schedule
  • Pan-India logistics — coordinated dispatch to multiple sites
  • Single-point coordination — one project lead across the rollout

The IBS Advantage

Why Choose Impulse Branding?

Most flex printers in India are job-work shops that print on cost-grade media with unbranded inks, outsource finishing, and have no campaign consistency or rollout discipline. IBS is built differently: in-house presses and finishing, grade-specified media, batch-consistent high-volume production, and 15+ years of execution discipline. Below are the six pillars of the IBS flex advantage.

01

In-house presses and finishing — no print job-work

Printing and finishing both happen in-house at IBS. No outsourcing the print to a job-work unit, no handing banners to a third-party finisher. Print quality, ink density, finishing standard, and lead time all stay under one roof and one accountability — which is what coordinated multi-site flex campaigns demand.

02

High-volume throughput with batch colour consistency

Flex presses run at high throughput for large-volume requirements — hundreds of banners for an event or launch — and every banner in the run is colour-consistent against the brand reference. The job-work alternative drifts in colour and ink density banner to banner; IBS holds it consistent across the whole campaign.

03

Economy and premium grades, matched to duration

IBS stocks both economy flex for short-duration campaigns and premium flex for long-term outdoor installs, and quotes the grade to the actual campaign duration — so you're not over-paying for a one-week event banner or under-speccing a six-month site board. The grade is named on the quote, not left vague.

04

Install-ready finishing in-house

Every banner is finished install-ready — eyelets spaced for mounting and wind, reinforced hems, pole pockets, welded seams, and wind reinforcement for exposed sites. Banners arrive ready to go up, not waiting in a separate finisher's queue, which matters when a campaign or event date is fixed.

05

Pan-India dispatch and optional installation

IBS prints in Mumbai and dispatches pan-India with sequenced logistics for multi-site campaigns. For Mumbai and Pune, installation is available with the prints — on your own hoarding structure or a new structure from the IBS hoarding-fabrication line; for outstation, banners ship finished with fixing guidance.

06

15+ years and an enterprise approved-vendor record

IBS has held approved-vendor status at Reliance Retail, HDFC ERGO, HSBC, Aditya Birla Retail, Adani Airports, Society Tea, EPSON, and Duravit across many of the past 15 years. The on-time, on-colour, on-spec delivery discipline enterprise vendor-approval demands is exactly what high-volume flex campaigns need. New enterprise clients can often reuse our existing credentials to accelerate their own vendor approval.

How We Work

Our Process

A standard flex engagement runs from same-day (urgent standard banners) to 72–96 hours for bulk runs of 200+ pieces, with campaign rollouts sequenced to the campaign and install schedule. The process below is the IBS standard for every flex engagement.

01

Brief and artwork intake

The engagement starts with a brief covering banner sizes, quantities, sites, exposure (outdoor/indoor, lit/unlit, wind), finishing, and the campaign or install dates. Print-ready artwork is received or file requirements flagged. Output: a confirmed job definition and a grade-and-finish direction. Initial consultation is free of charge and without obligation.

02

Flex grade and finishing selection

Flex grade is matched to exposure and duration — frontlit for standard outdoor, backlit for lit structures, mesh for wind-exposed wraps, fabric for reusable — and economy vs premium grade is quoted to the campaign length. Finishing (eyelets, hems, pole pockets, welding, wind reinforcement) is specified to the site. The spec is confirmed before production.

03

Prepress, colour match and proofing

Files are checked and scaled to final size at the right resolution for viewing distance. Colour is matched to the Pantone or swatch reference, and for colour-critical campaign runs a proof piece is printed for approval before the full run.

04

Production print run

Flex presses run the job at high throughput, with ink density and colour held to the approved reference across the run. Bulk campaign runs are produced as colour-consistent batches so every banner matches.

05

Finishing

Finishing is executed in-house — eyelets, reinforced hems, pole pockets, welded seams, and wind reinforcement for exposed sites. Each banner is finished install-ready so nothing waits in a third-party finishing queue.

06

Quality control

Finished banners are checked against the approved reference — ink density, colour, registration, size, and finish — and bulk batches are checked for cross-banner colour consistency. Defects are caught and reprinted before dispatch.

07

Dispatch, logistics and installation

Banners are packed and dispatched, with sequenced pan-India logistics for multi-site campaigns. For Mumbai and Pune, installation is available with the prints; for outstation, banners ship with fixing guidance, or coordinated with IBS hoarding fabrication where the structure is in scope.

08

Reorders and campaign top-ups

Artwork and colour references are retained on file, so campaign top-ups, replacements for weather-damaged banners, and extensions of a running campaign are fast and batch-matched to the original run.

Standards & Materials

What materials, inks, and specs does IBS flex printing follow?

Every IBS flex print is produced on grade-specified media with UV-stable inks, finished to withstand wind and weather, and colour-managed for batch consistency. Flex grade is matched to the exposure and the campaign duration — economy grades for short-duration pushes, premium grades for long-term installs. Below are the media, ink, and quality standards that anchor every flex engagement.

Flex grade & media specification

  • Star-frontlit flex — coated flex (typically ~300–340 GSM / 13 oz class) for outdoor banners and hoardings
  • Backlit flex — heavier double-coated flex (typically ~450 GSM class) for illuminated structures
  • Mesh flex — wind-permeable perforated mesh for wraps and scaffold banners
  • Self-adhesive vinyl — for eco-solvent fine-finish surface graphics
  • Knitted-polyester fabric — for SEG/tension-frame and reusable banners
  • Economy vs premium grades — matched to campaign duration and exposure, quoted by grade
  • Final grade and ink spec is agreed at job confirmation. Substitutions only with written client approval.

Print & colour specifications

  • Maximum print width — up to 5 metres single-piece seam-free; larger as planned panels
  • Resolution — 720–1440 dpi by material and viewing distance
  • Inks — UV-resistant solvent and eco-solvent matched to media and exposure
  • Colour matching — Pantone or client swatch reference; ICC-profiled workflow with batch consistency
  • Proofing — proof piece for approval on colour-critical campaign runs

Finishing & quality assurance

  • Finishing in-house — eyelets, hems, pole pockets, welding, and wind reinforcement on our own line
  • In-run QC — ink density, colour, and registration checked across the run
  • Batch QC — campaign batches checked for cross-banner colour consistency
  • Turnaround — typically 24–48 hours for standard orders; 72–96 hours for bulk runs of 200+ pieces
  • Pre-dispatch check — size, finish, and quantity verified and recorded before dispatch

Who We Work With

Industries Served

Flex printing serves every sector that needs cost-effective, high- visibility banner communication at volume — outdoor advertising, retail, events, real estate, and institutional and social campaigns being the highest-volume users. Below are the sector-specific patterns IBS prints against most often.

Outdoor Advertising — Hoarding & Campaign Banners

Outdoor advertising contractors and media owners need high-volume, colour-consistent hoarding banners across a media buy, produced to schedule. IBS prints frontlit and backlit flex at volume with batch colour consistency, sequences to the buy schedule, and supplies finished banners for mounting or coordinates the structure through the hoarding-fabrication line.

Retail & QSR — Sale, Launch & Storefront Banners

Retail and QSR brands run frequent banner cycles — sale banners, launch banners, storefront and in-store hanging banners, seasonal pushes — at multi-store scale. IBS executes for Reliance Retail, Aditya Birla Retail, Society Tea, and other retail brands with fast turnaround and store-to-store colour consistency across the rollout.

Events & Exhibitions — Backdrops, Entrance & Stage Banners

Events demand stage backdrops, entrance banners, award-show banners, and stall fascia produced to a fixed event date. IBS prints frontlit, fabric, and tension-frame banners with in-house finishing to the immovable deadline. (Full stalls are handled by the exhibition-stalls line; mega stage backdrops by wide-format.)

Real Estate & Construction — Site Boards & Project Banners

Real-estate and construction projects use flex for project-identity banners, RERA-compliant site information boards, and launch banners rated for the build period. IBS prints to outdoor durability and coordinates with site hoarding structures where required.

Institutional, Social & Event Campaigns — Mass Banner Production

Institutional awareness drives, public campaigns, and large social and community events need mass banner production at speed and volume — the format flex was built for. IBS handles high-volume runs with consistent quality and sequenced dispatch, the production capacity that one-off job-work printers can't match across a large campaign.

Commercial

Commercial framework

IBS's commercial engagement for flex printing is structured around three pillars: a clear, confirmed scope captured in the job definition and (for colour-critical runs) an approved proof; grade-specified media and ink with no surprise substitutions; and warranty on print durability scaled by flex grade, ink, and outdoor exposure. Specific commercial terms — job pricing, volume rates, scheduling, and stage-wise commercial alignment — are agreed in the quotation. The website is not the place for them.

Scope, grade spec & proof sign-off

The commercial relationship is anchored on the confirmed job definition and (on colour-critical runs) the approved proof — flex grade, ink, size, finishing, and colour reference all locked at sign-off. File requirements are shared up front. Changes after sign-off are tracked through a written change note with cost and timeline impact noted before proceeding. This prevents the most common flex dispute: a cheaper flex grade substituted for the grade quoted.

Taxes — GST on the IBS invoice

IBS invoices for flex printing attract GST at the applicable rate per the prevailing GST Council notification. GST is shown on a separate line in every invoice, with tax certificates issued. Input tax credit availability — where applicable to your business — applies as standard.

Warranty & defect liability

IBS stands behind print quality, finishing workmanship, and outdoor durability scaled by flex grade and ink. Outdoor life expectations are stated at quotation by grade and exposure, so durability is clear before the campaign goes up.

Warranty & defect liability

Print & finishing workmanship
defect-free print, colour-to-reference, and finishing quality guaranteed on dispatch; reprint of any workmanship defect
Frontlit flex outdoor life
standard solvent-printed frontlit typically one to two years outdoors; UV/laminated grades longer, stated at quotation
Backlit flex
even-illumination performance and colour-hold for the campaign period, by grade
Mesh & wrap media
wind-rated media specified to the structure; durability per grade stated at quotation
Finishing (eyelets, hems, welding)
finishing workmanship guaranteed for the campaign period under normal outdoor conditions
Reprints & campaign top-ups
colour references retained on file for batch-matched reprints and campaign extensions

Consultation, file prep & proofing

Initial consultation and quotation are provided without charge and without obligation. File requirements are shared up front; where artwork or design support is needed beyond supplied print-ready files, that is a separate scope itemised in the quotation. A proof piece is provided on colour- critical campaign runs. Where installation or a site survey is needed for Mumbai/Pune mounting, it is arranged as part of the scope. There are no hidden charges prior to the quotation stage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions About Flex Banner Printing

Everything procurement heads, project managers, and marketing teams ask before commissioning flex banner printing from IBS.

What is flex printing?

Flex printing is large-format digital printing on flex banner media — coated PVC banner material printed with solvent or eco-solvent inks — the most cost-effective medium for high-visibility outdoor and event branding in India. It covers hoardings, banners, site boards, backdrops, and illuminated faces. IBS prints frontlit, backlit, mesh, and fabric flex in-house at volume.

What is the difference between frontlit and backlit flex?

Frontlit flex is single-coated material designed to reflect external light — used for hoardings lit by external spotlights, the standard outdoor workhorse. Backlit flex is heavier double-coated material designed for light to pass through evenly from behind, for illuminated lightbox structures. Backlit is heavier (around 450 GSM) and produces a vibrant, even lit appearance. IBS prints both.

What is the difference between flex printing and wide-format printing at IBS?

They overlap, with a focus difference. Flex printing is the material-and-volume line — frontlit, backlit, mesh, and fabric banner grades and high-volume bulk banner production. Wide-format printing is the large-scale outdoor line — building wraps, billboard-scale graphics, and mega façade work. For a bulk run of banners and hoardings, flex is the line; for a full building wrap, wide-format. IBS runs both in-house and will point you to the right one.

How long does flex printing last outdoors?

Standard solvent-printed frontlit flex typically lasts one to two years outdoors in Indian weather. UV-ink and laminated prints can extend this to three years or more. For permanent outdoor signage, we'd recommend ACP-based signage rather than flex — and we'll advise the right grade for your campaign duration so you're not over- or under-speccing.

Is there a minimum order quantity for flex printing?

No. IBS prints single banners as well as bulk campaigns. For runs of 50 pieces or more in a standard size, volume rates apply. High-volume campaign runs are produced as colour-consistent batches with sequenced dispatch.

How fast can IBS turn around flex prints?

Standard orders are typically ready in 24–48 hours; bulk runs of 200+ pieces in roughly 72–96 hours, depending on size and finishing. Urgent jobs can move faster for stock materials. We confirm a firm turnaround at quotation once the spec and quantity are known.

Can IBS handle bulk and multi-city flex campaigns?

Yes — high-volume bulk production is the core of the flex line. We run flex presses at high throughput, produce colour-consistent batches against a single brand reference, sequence to the campaign schedule, and coordinate pan-India dispatch so every site gets its banners on time and on colour.

Does IBS offer colour matching for brand campaigns?

Yes. We match print output to Pantone references or client-supplied swatches under an ICC-profiled workflow, and for colour-critical campaign runs we print a proof piece for approval before the full run. References are held on file so reprints and top-ups stay matched to the original batch.

Can IBS print mesh and wind-rated flex for wraps?

Yes. Wind-permeable mesh flex for building wraps and scaffolding banners lets air pass through to reduce wind load on tall and exposed elevations. We print and reinforce mesh for outdoor durability, and for full building-elevation work coordinate with the wide-format line and the mounting method.

Does the price include GST?

GST is shown on a separate line in every IBS invoice at the applicable rate per the prevailing GST Council notification — not bundled into the line-item price. Tax invoices and tax certificates are issued for every billing event. Input tax credit availability — where applicable to your business — applies as standard.

What is the warranty on flex prints?

IBS guarantees defect-free print, colour-to-reference, and finishing quality on dispatch, with reprint of any workmanship defect. Outdoor life is scaled by flex grade and ink — standard frontlit typically one to two years, UV/laminated grades longer — and stated at quotation, with wind-rated media specified for wraps and scaffold banners.

Can IBS supply flex prints with installation?

Yes. For Mumbai and Pune, installation is available with your flex prints — on your own hoarding structure or a new structure fabricated through the IBS hoarding-fabrication line. For pan-India locations, banners ship finished with fixing guidance, or installation is coordinated for larger engagements.

What finishing does IBS provide on flex banners?

In-house finishing includes eyelets and grommets spaced for mounting and wind, sewn and reinforced hems, pole pockets and sleeves for banner stands and poles, heat-welded seams for multi-panel banners, and rope or bungee reinforcement for wind-exposed sites. Banners are delivered install-ready.

What flex grades does IBS stock?

Economy flex for short-duration campaigns and premium flex for long-term outdoor installs, plus backlit, mesh, and fabric grades. The grade is matched to your exposure and campaign duration and named on the quote, so you pay for the right grade — not over-spec for a one-week event or under-spec for a six-month site board.

Can IBS print eco-solvent vinyl and fabric banners?

Yes. Eco-solvent printing on self-adhesive vinyl gives a finer, low-odour finish for indoor displays, window graphics, and POS; knitted-polyester fabric suits SEG/tension-frame systems and reusable event banners. For detailed vinyl surface-graphics work, the vinyl and flex printing line covers it in depth.

What sizes can IBS print?

Up to 5 metres wide single-piece seam-free, with larger graphics produced as planned, colour-matched panels. Standard banner and hoarding sizes are produced at volume; custom sizes are no problem — share your width and height and we'll confirm the most efficient print and finishing approach.

Can IBS reprint or extend a running flex campaign?

Yes. Artwork and colour references are retained on file, so campaign top-ups, replacements for weather-damaged banners, and extensions of a live campaign are produced fast and batch-matched to the original run, so replacements match the banners already up.

Does IBS print RERA-compliant real-estate site boards?

Yes. RERA-compliant site information boards, project-identity banners, and launch banners for real-estate and construction projects are a routine category, printed to outdoor durability for the build period and coordinated with the site hoarding structure where required.

What artwork format and resolution do you need for flex?

Print-ready PDF is preferred, with vector source (AI, EPS) for logos and type and high-resolution linked images. For flex, resolution is set relative to viewing distance — a road-side hoarding needs lower effective DPI than a close-viewed indoor banner — so files stay practical to handle. Build artwork at a clear ratio to final size in CMYK with bleed; we'll flag at prepress if anything needs rework or scope artwork support.

Can flex banners be reused, or are they single-use?

Standard flex banners are generally single-campaign, though sturdy frontlit banners can be re-hung if undamaged. For genuinely reusable banners — redeployed across events or seasons — knitted-polyester fabric on SEG/tension-frame systems is the better choice: wrinkle-free, washable, and built for repeat use. We'll advise flex versus fabric based on how often you'll redeploy.

How do I get a flex printing quote from IBS?

Share your banner sizes, quantities, sites and exposure, finishing, and your campaign or install date through the enquiry form, by phone, or by email, with artwork if you have it. We'll confirm the grade and finishing, flag any file requirements, and provide an itemised quotation. Initial consultation is free of charge and without obligation.
