Print Branding & Signage
Tension-fabric lightboxes, slim LED lightboxes, backlit fascia, and halo-lit letters — engineered for even illumination and built at our Mumbai facility, installed across India.
Backlit signage is what makes a brand read after dark and stand out under mall and airport lighting. But the difference between a striking lightbox and a disappointing one is illumination engineering — even light across the whole surface, with no hot spots near the LEDs and no dark corners. We design the LED layout, build the box, print or stretch the face, and install it ourselves, in-house at our Mumbai facility. That control over the LED system, the diffusion, and the face media is why our backlit signage glows the way it should. One contract covers design, fabrication, and pan-India installation.
Backlit signage is illuminated from behind — lightboxes, backlit fascia, and halo-lit letters that glow evenly across the lit surface. Impulse Branding Solutions engineers and manufactures backlit systems in-house in Mumbai — tension-fabric (SEG) lightboxes, slim LED lightboxes, backlit duratrans, ACP fascia, and reverse-lit letters — for retail, malls, airports, and corporate clients across India and the Gulf.
Product Range
"Backlit signage" spans a family of illuminated systems, each suited to a different setting — a fabric lightbox for a premium retail wall, a slim LED box for a lift lobby, a backlit fascia for a shopfront, halo-lit letters for a reception. We manufacture the full range in-house, so a single programme can mix formats with consistent illumination and one point of accountability.
Tension-Fabric (SEG) Lightboxes
An aluminium frame with a dye-sublimation-printed fabric face stretched taut using a silicone edge gasket (SEG), lit evenly from within.
Slim LED Lightboxes
Shallow edge-lit aluminium lightboxes, often snap-frame, for indoor poster and brand displays.
Backlit Duratrans / Film Lightboxes
Lightboxes with a backlit film (duratrans) face for photographic- quality illuminated imagery.
Backlit ACP / Metal Fascia
Shopfront and building fascia in ACP or metal with backlit routed or push-through lettering and logos.
Halo / Reverse-Lit Letters & Logos
Built-up letters mounted on standoffs with rear-facing LEDs that throw a soft halo onto the wall behind.
Freestanding & Double-Sided Lightboxes
Projecting, totem, and freestanding double-sided lightboxes visible from multiple directions.
What We Deliver
Every backlit signage engagement is executed entirely in-house — design, fabrication, and installation under one roof.
Even-Illumination Engineering
Edge-lit and direct-lit LED systems with calibrated module spacing and diffusers — no hot spots, no dark patches across the lit surface, the single thing that separates a premium lightbox from a cheap one.
Full Lightbox Range
Tension-fabric (SEG) lightboxes, slim snap-frame LED lightboxes, backlit duratrans/film boxes, backlit ACP fascia, and freestanding double-sided lightboxes — all fabricated in-house.
Halo & Reverse-Lit Letters
Reverse-lit (halo) letters and logos that throw a soft glow onto the wall behind — a premium identity format for reception walls and building fascias.
Retail, Mall & Airport Experience
Backlit fascia and lightbox programmes for retail brands, malls, and airport retail. BCAS clearance qualifies IBS for airport-terminal work, airside and landside.
The IBS Advantage
Backlit signage is widely sold — what differs is who engineers the light. Because IBS designs the LED layout and fabricates and installs in-house, the failures of outsourced backlit signage (visible hot spots, uneven glow, premature LED failure, loose fascia) are ours to control and ours to stand behind.
In-house illumination engineering & fabrication
We design the LED system, build the box, and finish the face at our own Mumbai facility — no job-work middlemen — so evenness, quality, and lead time are controlled by us.
One contract, single accountability
Design, manufacture, and pan-India installation under one contract, with GST-compliant, TDS-ready billing.
BCAS-cleared for airport work
Bureau of Civil Aviation Security clearance qualifies IBS for backlit fascia and lightbox work inside airport terminals, airside and landside — the procurement gate for airport retail.
Same-roof fit-out integration
When backlit signage forms part of an office, retail, or hospitality interior, our in-house civil and fit-out team installs it as part of the build — one vendor for the wall and the lightbox on it.
How We Work
A predictable, documented sequence from brief to handover — the same whether it is a single reception lightbox or a multi-mall rollout.
Brief & site survey
We capture brand artwork, sizes, viewing distance, and site conditions; a survey confirms wall substrate, power, mounting access, and ambient lighting.
Illumination design & proofing
LED layout, box depth, and face-media recommendations with scaled production artwork, signed off before fabrication.
In-house fabrication
Frame build, LED and power assembly, face printing/stretching, and even-light quality checks at our Mumbai facility.
Installation
Our own team mounts, wires, and commissions the signage; outstation and multi-city jobs are co-ordinated centrally.
Handover & warranty
Functional check, as-installed record, and warranty documentation with component pass-throughs.
Standards & Materials
A backlit sign is only as good as its LED system, its diffusion, and its face media. We specify named, reliable components and engineer the illumination for evenness, then document the build at handover.
Who We Work With
Backlit signage carries a brand in exactly the environments where lighting is controlled and competition for attention is high — malls, airports, retail high streets, and corporate lobbies. The brief changes by setting, and we tailor format, illumination, and finish to each.
Backlit fascia, SEG fabric walls, and slim lightboxes for shopfront identity and in-store brand environments.
Projecting and double-sided lightboxes and backlit fascia for multi-tenant visibility.
Backlit retail fascia and advertising lightboxes inside terminals; IBS is BCAS-cleared for airside and landside execution.
Halo-lit reception identities and SEG fabric backdrops, often delivered with our in-house office fit-outs.
Backlit menus, duratrans imagery, and reception lightboxes for hotels and restaurants.
Backlit branch fascia and reception identity to a controlled brand standard.
Commercial
Every backlit signage engagement is quoted against a clear scope — box sizes, illumination type, face media, mounting, and installation locations — so there are no surprises between proof and handover.
LED-layout design, production artwork, in-house frame build, LED and power assembly, and face printing or fabric stretching for every unit.
Delivery, mounting to the agreed substrate, electrical connection and commissioning, even-light verification, and site clean-up, co-ordinated centrally for multi-location work.
Written warranty on workmanship with manufacturer pass-throughs on LED modules and power supplies, plus an as-installed record at handover.
For installed signage, a site survey confirms wall substrate, available power, mounting access, viewing distance, and ambient lighting before fabrication. This ensures the box mounts cleanly and the illumination is engineered for the actual setting. Estimates are confirmed after survey and final artwork.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything procurement heads, project managers, and marketing teams ask before commissioning backlit signage from IBS.
Backlit signage is any sign illuminated from behind so the face glows — including lightboxes, backlit fascia, backlit film displays, and halo-lit letters. The goal is even illumination across the whole surface.
An SEG (silicone-edge gasket) lightbox has a dye-sublimation- printed fabric face stretched taut into an aluminium frame and lit from within. It gives a seamless, frameless, premium look, and the fabric face can be changed without replacing the box.
A fabric (SEG) box uses a stretched printed-fabric face for a soft, seamless finish and easy graphic changes; an acrylic-faced box uses a rigid acrylic front for a harder, glossier surface. We make both and recommend based on the look and how often graphics change.
A shallow, edge-lit lightbox — often just a few centimetres deep — used indoors for posters and brand displays, frequently with a snap-frame for quick changes.
Built-up letters mounted slightly off the wall with rear-facing LEDs, throwing a soft glow (halo) onto the wall behind for a premium, indirect identity effect.
Cost depends on size, illumination type, face media, quantity, mounting, and location. We issue a detailed, line-item quotation against your brief — share sizes and artwork and we will provide a transparent quote. No fixed price is published because every installation differs.
Yes. We design the LED layout and build, light, and finish every unit at our own Mumbai facility — no outsourcing — which is how we control even illumination and quality.
Through illumination engineering: calibrated LED module spacing, the right box depth, and diffuser films tuned to the face media. Even light is the core of what a good lightbox maker does.
Yes. With IP-rated electrical assembly, weatherproofed frames, and outdoor-grade media, backlit fascia and freestanding lightboxes perform outdoors. We specify outdoor-rated builds for shopfronts and facades.

Named-brand LED modules and reputed power supplies/drivers, sized with headroom, with manufacturer warranties passed through at handover.
Yes. SEG fabric and snap-frame lightboxes are designed for graphic changes — the face is swapped without replacing the box, which is ideal for seasonal campaigns.
Duratrans is a backlit film printed for illumination, giving rich, photographic-quality imagery when lit from behind — common in airport and mall advertising and hospitality imagery.
From a few centimetres for edge-lit slim boxes to a deeper direct-lit build for large faces. Depth is chosen to achieve even illumination for the face size.
Standard units are typically completed within a short working-day window from artwork sign-off; large or multi-location rollouts are project-planned. A confirmed timeline is given at quotation.
Yes. We colour-manage printed fabric, film, and acrylic faces to your brand specification and proof before fabrication.
Yes. We deliver consistent backlit signage across multi-location retail and mall programmes with the same spec, illumination, and lead time per site.
Yes. Backlit fascia is often combined with non-lit ACP cladding or acrylic detailing; we fabricate combined builds in-house, keeping finish and accountability under one vendor.
Yes. We provide a workmanship warranty on fabrication and finish, plus manufacturer warranty pass-throughs on LED modules and power supplies, documented at handover.
Your brand artwork (vector preferred), the sizes or site dimensions, the locations, the illumination preference, and viewing distance. A site survey for installed signage confirms substrate, power, access, and ambient lighting.
Yes. We re-LED, re-face, and refurbish existing lightboxes and fascia, and can standardise older illuminated signage to a current brand specification across locations.
